Role Overview
- Supervise all activities on the outbound dock
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Promote positive relationship with clients
- Plan the daily work schedule
- Assess priorities based on time sensitivity and available resources
- Assign duties to warehouse staff
- Review pending jobs or trends and plan for reorganization of warehouse space
- Train new staff and manage quality assurance activities
- Monitor quality and quantity of jobs performed
- Provide responsible supervision and control for all department activities
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred
- Minimum four years related experience; Minimum three years of industry experience preferred
- Minimum one year of supervisory or management experience
- Proven knowledge and experience in dock operations
- Valid state issued Driver's License
- Forklift Driver Certification
- Ability to drive and or operate a forklift, hand truck and pallet jack
- DOT Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Certification
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
