Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new client relationships.
Build executive level relationships and work with customers at the most senior levels to identify opportunities and translate them into a commercial strategy.
Plan, coordinate and participate in new business/client prospecting.
Monitor and evaluate key customer strategies, business trends and growth priorities.
Provide transparent financial and operational assessment of the health of our customer relationships.
Partner and collaborate across various internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, product development) to ensure cohesive execution of strategies and initiatives that meet client needs.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions to secure profitable deals.
Reduce contractual and commercial friction to improve customer experience.
Develop industry specific knowledge.
Drive thought leadership across the CCO and cross-divisional commercial organizations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or CFA is preferred.
15+ years of experience in Sales and Relationship Management, Product Management, Commercial Operations or other customer focused roles required.
Deep knowledge of Financial industry, Buyside segment, market trends and cross-divisional understanding of the S&P Global portfolio.
Proven track record in managing large accounts or business segments.
Diversified experiences driving and implementing growth initiatives and experience in leading transformation.
Confidence in navigating and building relationships with C-Level executives.
Well-balanced strategic and operational mindset.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective relationship management.
Data and metrics drive.
Able to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations.
Considers best practices and lessons learned to evaluate solutions.
Strategic partnership lens and ability to think across the end-to-end customer value chain.
Person in this role is required to work from NY office at least 3 days a week.
