Manage and expand existing venture capital relationships: Own day-to-day engagement with Airwallex’s current VC partners, ensuring consistent touchpoints, alignment on priorities, and ongoing value exchange for both sides.
Develop new venture capital partnerships: Proactively identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with new venture firms and emerging managers that align with Airwallex’s startup and growth strategy.
Represent Airwallex across the venture ecosystem: Act as an Airwallex evangelist at venture, startup, and ecosystem events — clearly articulating Airwallex’s value proposition to founders, operators, and investors.
Support and execute venture-focused events: Assist in planning and executing first-party and co-hosted events with venture partners, including founder dinners, panels, office hours, and ecosystem activations designed to increase Airwallex’s visibility and mindshare.
Drive ecosystem engagement and brand presence: Strengthen Airwallex’s reputation as a trusted partner to the venture ecosystem by ensuring consistent, high-quality representation across touchpoints and channels.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Proven track record of consistent pipeline generation and outbound efforts.
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
3+ years of experience in partnerships, ecosystem development, venture capital, startups, or a related role within fintech, SaaS, or high-growth technology companies.
Demonstrated experience working with or alongside venture capital firms, startup founders, or accelerator programs.
Proven relationship-building skills with the ability to engage credibly and comfortably with investors, founders, and senior operators across a range of company stages.
Strong external representation and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate a product and platform value proposition in both one-on-one and group settings.
Experience supporting or executing events such as founder dinners, panels, ecosystem meetups, or co-hosted partner activations.
Highly organized and execution-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple relationships, events, and initiatives in parallel while maintaining attention to detail.
Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, with the ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive initiatives forward with limited oversight.
