Perform on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of Agilent and third-party systems, including hardware, software, networking products, and operating systems
Optimize system configurations and troubleshoot performance issues
Deliver preventive maintenance, upgrades, and emergency repairs
Respond promptly to service requests and proactively communicate with customers throughout the service process
Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configuration best practices to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with managers and sales teams to align service delivery with customer expectations
Maintain compliance with Agilent policies and uphold our reputation for exceptional customer service
Provide feedback to Product Specialists, manufacturing teams, and OEM vendors regarding performance anomalies
Document service activities, time, and expenses accurately in SAP and other systems
Train customers and fellow engineers on equipment operation and maintenance
Support complaint handling and quality systems as required
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline—such as chemistry, analytical sciences, biomedical engineering—or equivalent education and experience
Candidates with experience in a similar position as a field service engineer, or in cell-based assays, liquid-handling systems, or biological automation instrumentation, are a plus
Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving is required
Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely
A valid driver's license is required
The ability to visit customers' sites, including working some overtime, possible weekends, and/or overnight travel as needed, is required
