About this role
Role Overview
Provide detailed engineering design solutions and input on the design process for key complex projects, including providing support to the team members.
Write, sign and seal reports/drawings as required.
Review project designs, specifications, and contract documents.
Monitor project schedule and budgets within your area of responsibility and report the status as required on a regular basis.
Liaise with clients, municipal approving authorities and contractors, as needed.
Pursue obtaining of all necessary approvals and permits for projects, including those from municipalities and provincial agencies.
Proven and hands-on knowledge and extensive experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Participate in business development efforts including writing and pricing proposal efforts, securing new projects/clients, as needed.
Coordinate design and field staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating, and reviewing work done by staff.
Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all sites.
Requirements
Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
Minimum 10 years of experience in the Municipal Infrastructure and land development design and construction.
Brownfield redevelopment experience is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Project Management experience.
Fully conversant with Microsoft software applications.
Working knowledge of Modelling programs for storm water management (PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HEC-RAS) and water distribution (Water CAD, Water GEMS) is preferred but is not a requirement.
Organized, works well under pressure and able to deal with situations with tact.
A valid driver's license and vehicle is required.
Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams.
Ability to multi-task is critical, must be able to meet deadlines.
