Email Marketing Specialist

Role Overview

• Build and deploy email campaigns from provided briefs, templates, and copy, including promotional, newsletter, and transactional sends.
• Format and QA email content to ensure a clean experience across devices and inboxes.
• Set up audiences/segments based on the provided criteria and confirm that the counts align with expectations.
• Execute A/B tests and document results.
• Manage campaign checklists and approvals, ensuring deadlines are met, and launches run smoothly.
• Troubleshoot basic ESP issues and escalate when needed.
• Maintain email templates and modules, working with existing design systems and updating components as directed.
• Apply tracking/UTM standards and confirm analytics are firing correctly.
• Support list hygiene and deliverability best practices following team guidelines.
• Keep documentation current, including processes, naming conventions, and send logs.
• Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations and stay current with industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of proven experience in email marketing, CRM, or lifecycle marketing.
• Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Marketo).
• Strong understanding of deliverability, segmentation, automation, and personalization best practices.
• Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a knack for persuasive, customer-focused messaging.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using A/B testing and email analytics tools.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email is a plus.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
