Design and develop precision plastic and sheet-metal components for miniature, injection-molded products using Creo (Pro/ENGINEER)
Create and document inspection criteria for components and materials
Participate in engineering problem-solving throughout development, tooling, and molding stages
Conduct hands-on prototyping and testing from concept to mass production
Inspect parts for compliance with design intent and quality standards
Collaborate with tool and molding suppliers during fabrication and commissioning
Support production and Quality Assurance by analyzing and resolving mechanical and assembly-related issues
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology
At least 8 years of experience in mechanical component and assembly design, ideally involving miniature or thin-wall plastic components for injection molding
Strong hands-on background in DFM, DFA, and tolerance analysis
Proficiency with Creo/ProE (including advanced surfacing) and PDM/Windchill
Familiarity with machining, mold tooling, injection molding, and assembly processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams; English required, German or Spanish an asset
