Role Overview
- Oversee all warehouse operations.
- Manage warehouse associates and/or drivers within our branch.
- Cultivate a winning culture by leading and working alongside the warehouse team through proper training and coaching.
- Interview and hire candidates for various warehouse positions.
- Oversee the initial and ongoing training of all warehouse associates.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage personnel issues.
- Inspect facilities, grounds, and equipment, identifying and arranging repairs.
- Manage property control, including inventory levels of warehouse materials.
- Conduct quarterly audits and participate in daily safety expectations.
- Oversee transportation logistics, including delivery scheduling.
- Prepare reports on operations, inventory, associate metrics, and financial matters.
Requirements
- Understanding and proven experience of warehouse management including leading a team, material handling, shipping/receiving, and logistics.
- Skill in planning and organizing in anticipation of future events and contingencies.
- Ability to train and develop associates while driving a positive culture.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting information to associates, management, customers, and vendors.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and provide innovative solutions.
- Proficiency working within ERPs and Microsoft Office Suite.
