Perform general ledger activities supporting the month-end/year-end closing process by preparing accurate journal entries and account reconciliations
Work collaboratively on various cross-functional initiatives including interactions with line of business management, operations, internal audit, risk management and compliance, accounting policy and research, and independent auditors
Help facilitate accounting operations by overseeing and resolving suspense postings
Respond to financial inquiries and provide financial analysis to support business decisions
Assist with the annual audit process by supplying required documentation, preparing supporting schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries
Assist in the preparation of external financial disclosures, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements
Support the drafting and maintenance of internal accounting policies and procedures
Participate in special projects, including supporting accounting impacts from new product offerings or other business or regulatory changes, system enhancements, and training initiatives
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in accounting operations.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
4-6 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Audit (preferred)
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to banking or financial instruments is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to tailor messaging for different stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
