Be responsible for the management of the distributed products commodity for assigned business units
Act as point of escalation in the event of any Supplier or Internal issues
Lead key supplier contract and pricing negotiations
Bring contracts and sourcing projects through the gated Passport standard work
Identify saving opportunities (negotiations, transitions, value engineering projects, etc.) and deliver savings to the business
Ensure accurate reporting of all savings/price increases for their area of responsibility
Work with key stakeholders including Supply Chain Directors, Design Engineers, Program Directors and Product Introduction Management to coordinate sourcing decisions on new programs.
Monitor current supplier market conditions, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges
Support the development and implementation of strategic commodity plans
Identify opportunities for developing partnerships with Strategic suppliers and lead projects to improve efficiencies within supply base through the combined efforts of RTX and Strategic suppliers
Ability to travel requirement: 20%
Requirements
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
Significant experience in Operations/Supply Chain/Contracts Management/Business Development or other Business related field
