Source and recruit candidates for manufacturing roles using a variety of methods, including job sites, databases, social media, and job fairs
Post positions and review job boards/sites for potential candidates
Facilitate hiring events at our plant locations
Screen candidate resumes and applications
Conduct phone screens and interviews
Assess candidates’ relevant knowledge, skills, experience, and abilities to ensure the best candidates are selected
Promote SPX’s reputation as a strong culture and great place to grow a career
Stay accountable to hiring and retention standards for assigned location
Help develop and update job descriptions to ensure accuracy
Maintain and update HR forms and policies as needed
Schedule interviews
Monitor and apply best in class HR recruiting practices
Actively participate and network with associations to build a network of candidates while promoting the SPX employer brand
Requirements
2+ years of experience in high volume recruiting environment
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Prior experience recruiting manufacturing production staff such as Assembly, Forklift, Machine Operators, Welders, and other Skilled Trades (preferred)
Prior experience working at a Staffing Agency (preferred)
Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR Information systems (preferred)
Knowledge of employment laws (FMLA, FLSA, EEO, ADA, HIPAA, etc.) is preferred
