Contract Manager

Role Overview

• Leading system wide contracting of supplies, equipment, material, services and maintenance
• Extensive procurement, contracting, and purchasing functions
• Driving significant savings or cost avoidance
• Providing high quality, efficient, and cost-effective service
• Achieving standards of performance, portfolio management and collaboration with leadership and system departments
• Focused on continuous process improvement, benchmarking, performance measurement, and reporting
• Assisting in the identification and review of new and alternative product selections
• Sourcing products within the vendor community
• Monitoring vendor performance and building business relationships
• Negotiating contracts, including GPO, IDN and hospital specific contracts within their service line

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Prefer a clinical background like nursing
• Advanced certification in supply chain or healthcare administration preferred
• 3+ years experience related experience in contracting, supply chain, or healthcare administration
• Market knowledge of key medical/surgical supplies and services preferred
• Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiating, contracting, business law, cost containment, and expense management activities preferred
