Role Overview
Manage multiple engagements for clients in various industries including, technology, life sciences, retail, and manufacturing. Includes public and privately owned businesses
Manage client relationships
Assist clients with the review of the global quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 standards
Assist clients in the analysis of tax exposures, including the calculation of tax reserves for uncertain tax positions. Prepare and review documentation supporting tax positions and relevant disclosures
Oversee client’s tax account reconciliation
Assist clients with the preparation and documentation of income tax footnotes and disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings.
Coordinate and communicate with financial statement auditors as necessary
Review all federal, foreign, and state income tax return filings
Assist clients with audits and inquiries by governmental authorities.
Assist clients with developing and maintaining tax strategies
Assist clients with designing, improving, and execution of SOX tax controls
Develop overall engagement budget
Able and willing to work at client location when needed
Serve as key client contact; viewed as a trusted business advisor by clients
Drive continuous improvements to the process and methodologies used in the tax department.
Ensure quality control standards are met
Supervise, motivate, and train engagement team members
Drive a team environment; demonstrate support of management decisions and builds a positive culture
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
8 years experience in public accounting or related field
5 years supervisory
Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
