Role Overview
Own production of new business profitability and risk reporting for ERM’s monthly new business tracker and quarterly Product Risk Committee (PRC) exhibits and materials
Support governance oversight of quality of new business actual and forecasted metrics
Assist in the review of new product strategies, development, design, pricing, and implementation
Support assumptions oversight for multiple operations, including assumption development, modeling, annual updates, and risk assessments
Support the development of risk/return pricing standards and risk management methodologies based on actuarial and capital markets/economic principles
Establish effective working relationships throughout the organization, both at the corporate level and within the businesses
Build business and actuarial acumen across various product lines in terms of product knowledge, risk profiles, modeling approach, and reserve requirements
Monitor and analyze developments in actuarial techniques, laws, regulations, and competitive developments in the marketplace
Implement process improvements, consistency, governance, controls, and oversight
Streamline and automate the new business profitability and risk reporting process, leveraging AI tools (Claude / CoPilot)
Create an ERM new business risk repository / data warehouse to support analytics, strategic insights and decision making
Support the advancement of high visibility financial metrics and dashboards for use in strategic planning
Participate in ad hoc projects related to product development, implementation, inforce management, and corporate risk management initiatives
Assist in the buildout of Lincoln Financials’ risk appetite framework for new business
Requirements
3-6 years of actuarial experience
ASA designation, progressing towards FSA designation
Strong technical and actuarial skills
Proficiency with programming and data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI)
Prior experience in assumption development preferred
Strong project management skills, including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment with occasionally changing priorities
Curiosity, comfort asking questions and challenging the status quo
