About this role
Role Overview
Own the planning and execution of key North America (NA) events from concept through on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
Co-lead the planning and execution of Fusion, D2L’s global annual user conference.
Partner with global and regional teams to deliver seamless, high-quality event experiences.
Coordinate event logistics, production, content, creative, messaging, and technical requirements.
Prepare and manage timelines, budgets, risks, purchase requests, and stakeholder communications.
Liaise with and support speakers, sponsors, vendors, and event staff.
Proactively troubleshoot issues during planning and onsite at events.
Support event promotion, registration, engagement, and follow-up across channels.
Maintain the event calendar and communicate outcomes and insights internally.
Stay informed on the NA event landscape and emerging trends to continuously improve event impact.
Requirements
3+ years of demonstrated experience managing end-to-end in-person events
Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to think quickly under pressure, solve complex problems, and adapt in fast-paced environments.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive cross-functional alignment and accountability.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners.
High attention to detail with strong follow-through.
Self-motivated and outgoing individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
Creative mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
Writing or copywriting experience is an asset.
Proficiency with MS Excel and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) is an asset.
Flexibility to work irregular hours and travel domestically and internationally, as needed.
