Daily, continuous communication with the program manager or assistant program manager
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the rare disease programs offered
Coordinate cases with physicians and healthcare professionals
Coordinate all aspects required to obtain coverage for prescription medications
Maximize reimbursement solutions with insurance companies
Navigate the complex process of obtaining coverage
Coordinate documentation and submissions with insurance companies
Implement financial means testing
Coordinate required pharmacy processes
Report adverse events to assigned units/departments

University degree in a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, insurance, or healthcare-related sectors
Prior experience in reimbursement and knowledge of public, private, and federal reimbursement programs is required
Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience OR five (5) years or more of tenure as a Senior Reimbursement Specialist
Professional, courteous, and effective on the phone
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Demonstrated ability to organize time, set priorities, and multitask
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with patients
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail
Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
