Provides fiscal expertise in the development of the agency budgets management plan and final budget, apportionment and allocation of funds, expenditure monitoring and control.
Provides budget guidelines to facilities and other business units in areas of headcount limitations and budget allocation development.
Directs development and design of appropriate forms, instructions and procedures manuals necessary for proper budget and fiscal control.
Provides fiscal training to Agency business office staff and utilizes state vehicle to travel as required.
Serves as full line supervisor.
Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in accounting and fiscal management.
Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in an accounting or fiscal management organization.
Prefers at least two (2) years’ experience coordinating projects with teams in various locations via phone, email, or web conference.
Prefers at least two (2) years of experience in a public or private sector conducting fiscal duties that require knowledge of state or governmental appropriation structures.
Prefers at least two (2) years of experience managing and implementing a budget for a private or public organization.
Prefers at least two (2) years of experience with enterprise resource and planning software such as SAP.
Prefers at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Prefers at least four (4) years of experience managing and implementing a budget for a private or public organization.
Prefers at least four (4) years of experience working with state or governmental appropriation structures in a public or private organization.
Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
Requires ability to pass a drug screen.
Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
