Designer

Role Overview

• Develop physical, schematic, and wiring drawings with CAD software from sketches, vendor data, drawing templates, verbal instructions, and notes provided by engineering.
• Develop CAD drawings for fabricated parts and assemblies for construction, including bill of material and notes.
• Participate in product design and process improvement initiatives.
• Understand and apply industry drawing standards.
• Follow division drafting procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to design and detail components and systems.
• Review drawings of others for adherence to company standards.

Requirements

• Associates degree in drafting or design technologies with a minimum 5 years of drafting and design experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge of 3D drawing systems and techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of industry standards for drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Ability to read and create technical drawings, blueprints, schematics and material.
• Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and drafting software.
