About this role

Responsible for protecting our value proposition and reducing assignments to third parties
Minimize financial losses and strive to maintain good customer relations
Negotiate amicable solutions utilizing knowledge of debt collection practices and relevant laws
Educate customers on their obligations under BMO agreements
Respond to customer inquiries and escalations
Determine root causes of issues and propose appropriate options to minimize loss
Engage in problem solving for non-routine situational factors
Maintain poise and perseverance when dealing with dissatisfied customers
Identify potential risks and engage management team

Extensive knowledge of BMO Retail lending products and procedures related to collections
In depth knowledge of Privacy Legislation and the Collection Act
Strong problem solving, communication and conflict management skills
Knowledge of BMO approved offers and solutions for delinquent clients would be beneficial
Good working knowledge of Bank supported or other software ie: Excel, Word, Microsoft Office etc.
Good working knowledge of Bank Systems ie: Strata, ECP, angular tool, TSYS, Optimizer, MDIF
Good working knowledge of Financial Statements, Bank OFSI standards and Business Recovery Planning.
