About this role
Role Overview
Manage overall client relationship by providing strategic advice on coverage, risk management, and business needs
Ensure client's insurance program aligns with long-term goals and growth plans
Serve as main point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing guidance
Partner in strategic development of insurance plans tailored to client needs
Act as field underwriter and authorized representative of insurance carriers
Manage remarketing of renewals to ensure high account retention rates
Prepare client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations, and risk analyses
Communicate billing and invoicing options
Prepare comprehensive summaries of insurance and related documents
Assist clients in submitting first reports of claims
Facilitate prompt response from carriers to expedite claim settlements
Conduct thorough policy reviews during renewals and audits
Proactively communicate significant audit discrepancies to clients
Review cancellation requests and attempt to retain client accounts
Stay informed about industry developments, new products, legislation, and coverage options
Recommends process improvements as needed
Identify and resolve complex client service issues
Perform other projects, duties, and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Property and Casualty License from state of domicile required
Preference for individuals with insurance designations (e.g. AINS, CIC, CPCU, ARM)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Four-year degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years account management experience in insurance industry
Focus on commercial lines of coverage required
Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus or must in some locations
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
In-depth understanding of advanced commercial lines of coverage
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)
Must be computer literate and able to learn new software applications
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings and underwriting procedures
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable source of transportation
