Lead, coach, and develop a team of Employee Relations Managers and HR Advice professionals to ensure consistent, high‑quality consultation across the enterprise.
Oversee complex and high‑risk employment matters, including third party demands, workplace change strategies, and executive‑level disengagements, ensuring legal and policy compliance.
Provide strategic guidance to leaders and HRBPs on sensitive ER and HR Advice issues, balancing risk mitigation, organizational values, and colleague experience.
Advise upon employment risk issues, working closely with legal counsel, for bank-wide strategic initiatives (e.g., policy modernization, process improvements, major program changes).
Analyze ER trends and escalations to identify systemic risks, inform strategy, and develop proactive interventions.
Serve as a key escalation point for complex or precedent‑setting ER matters requiring senior‑level judgment.
Partner with COEs to ensure ER and HR Advice practices align with broader enterprise strategy, including policy updates and change management efforts.
Drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement of workflows and internal processes.
Keep current on key trends in the industry and HR landscape, translating into organizational insight
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, Law, or related field.
10+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on Employee Relations, HR Advisory, or related HR COE work.
Strong understanding of employment law, risk mitigation, and regulatory requirements, with ability to interpret and apply policies consistently.
Proven experience leading or advising on complex, high‑risk ER matters
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, including coaching, talent development, and performance management
Experience providing strategic guidance to senior leaders and HRBPs on sensitive and enterprise‑wide HR issues.
