Oversee and manage customer needs related to multi-state unclaimed property matters including assessments, audit defense, or voluntary disclosure agreement programs.
Prepare customers for examination(s) by describing forthcoming requests and knowledge of the process.
Represent customers on auditor discussions regarding the current status of the examination and responses to information document requests.
Analyze customer data to present potential unclaimed property risk and mitigation tactics.
Develop customer deliverables and reports for state submission through completion of the review.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive culture, including working closely with peers and upper management and leading, training, and developing junior resources.
Develop and strengthen relationships with customer through effective communication to maintain customer satisfaction.
Manage customer engagements as it relates to customer’s business and expectations and Kodiak’s scope of services, performance of team, and assignment of tasks.
Identify potential opportunities with processes and technologies that would provide greater efficiency and prove beneficial and cost effective.
Understand impact of changing unclaimed property legislation and technical developments affecting unclaimed property consulting engagements.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of unclaimed property professional expertise (prior consulting experience preferred).
High quality verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable adapting to varied customer situations and customer needs with minimum confusion or loss of productivity.
Consistently produce high-quality, professional deliverables on schedule and budget.
Demonstrate an understanding of complex unclaimed property concepts.
Proven experience in managing unclaimed property annual consulting engagements including audit defense, voluntary disclosure agreement programs, policy and procedures, or other similar services.
Able to adapt to new environments, work effectively in varied situations and function in changing circumstances with minimum confusion or loss of productivity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
BA/BS with a concentration in accounting, business administration, finance, engineering, or information systems (or similar degrees).
