Assist with evaluating customer drawings for piston rings and axle shims and then creating detailed manufacturing build plans to be used in an automated machine shop and chrome plating shop environment to achieve plant goals for quality, productivity, and cost.
Works cross functionally with other engineers and operators to root cause product and process problems and assist with solutions or enhancements.
Assists with plans and design methods to continuously improve production quality and efficiency.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
Project Management – Has a good understanding of and effectively applies project management techniques for moderately complex projects
Fundamentals of Manufacturing – Basic competence and knowledge in the following areas: Mathematics, Machine design, Materials, Manufacturing Processes, Manufacturing Management, Quality Control, Computer Applications and Automation
Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis, preferably with a formal tool
Training, Leading, or Coaching experience a plus
Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
