Quality Engineering Specialist

Role Overview

• Manage the supply chain to reduce variability, increase reliability and ensure on-time delivery
• Focus on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, and data reporting
• Facilitate Part/Process Qualification through FAI and PPAP
• Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material
• Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production
• Support the development and commercialization of radio sub-assemblies
• Willingness to travel on occasion (25% or more)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with Contract Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test
• Experience in Six Sigma, Lean methodologies, Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis
• Development of Risk Mitigation plans
