About this role
Role Overview
Manage, coach, and mentor at least 3 product managers in managing life-cycle management of IT products.
Resolve complex issues that escalate beyond the scope of the product managers responsibilities.
Regularly manage the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce).
Responsible, in partnership with HR, to hire or fire employees and recommends advancement, promotion or any other change of status of employees within their reporting line.
Manage product awareness to extend the user base.
Monitor product performance and user satisfaction.
Manage product financial including total cost of ownership. Ensure adequate resources for maintaining the product.
Manage the product road map of future enhancements and the ultimate retirement of the product.
Research industry best practices.
Identify product opportunities that meet customer needs.
Define requirements.
Explore product alternatives, analyze feasibility, define and plan the product.
Participate with development teams that develop the product.
Develop training and communication plans.
Manage the communications and training plans associated with product introduction and rollout.
Ensure smooth transition from development phase into operational phase.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a business and/or technology discipline such as computer science or a related field.
6 years' experience industry track record.
Experience developing business plans and requirements that shape the development and delivery of services to customers.
Experience managing multiple employees.
Ability to perform and lead others through complex customer research and analysis of diverse cultures.
Experience managing product/services; managing relationships with vendors and other business partners.
Ability to deal with cross-divisional, cross-departmental, cross-functional, and cross-cultural differences; and lead cross-functional and interdepartmental product or project teams.
Ability to define and document work processes.
Ability to lead a team of highly educated and skilled managers.
Ability to develop product communication and marketing materials.
Ability to write user stories.
Ability to prepare succinct product presentation of leadership.
