Communications Specialist

Role Overview

• Partnering with employees across GS to uncover, draft, and share news stories
• Gathering and analyzing communications metrics to improve work
• Creating and managing employee recognition programs
• Supporting planning and execution of quarterly All Hands meetings
• Managing internal comms collateral with governance and visibility
• Drafting announcements, executive presentations, and internal blog posts
• Participating in Akamai's Global Communications Network for alignment

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree or its equivalent
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Eye for design and aptitude for using images and video for storytelling
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and track details
• Dedicated team player comfortable in a complex organization
• Previous exposure to intranet tools (ideal, but not required)
