Develop and implement a long-term growth strategy for the North American SMART Product business
Support and, when necessary, lead sales efforts with detailed technical proposals and cost estimates
Provide the deep product expertise needed to lead the applications in core markets
Make strategic product decisions in collaboration with the Global Product Home and North American Pulp and Paper Colleagues
Lead a regional team of professionals and ensure they are motivated and trained
Participate in the development of operational budgets and monitor regional financial performance
Work closely with the Sales & Business Development team to define, develop, and execute sales growth strategies
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure business objectives are met
Maintain working relationships with all other directors to ensure effective coordination

Bachelor's degree or diploma in chemical, process, electrical, or automation and control engineering or practical equivalent
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in process measurement and control, automation, and electrification
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in product management
Deep understanding of Pulp & Paper processes
Ability to mentor and lead a team of diverse, technical professionals
Strong business acumen and desire to develop sales
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Good command of English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus
