Implement inventory controls in Indiana hub plants complying to the inventory policy and procedures
Coordinates cycle counting tasks and ensure tasks are completed as required or requested to verify inventory accuracy
Review and/or Prepare SOX controls documentation (Daily/Monthly/Quarterly/Annually) of inventory specialists
Oversee and manage performance and operations of the inventory specialists in the hub
Assist the plant controller in any internal or external inventory audit process
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
Ensure warehouse space is utilized effectively along with maintaining a clean and safe environment
Monitor any inventory that is close to shelf life to prevent inventories from aging and tracks and reports monthly aged inventory
Manage the transition process from one revision to the next, minimizing waste
Manage movement of product locations to maintain the most efficient locations
Monitor Review and manage that all appropriate inventory transactions are being processed in an accurate and timely fashion
Understand and apply global planning processes
Review the documentation and management processing of waste by the specialists
Oversee the performance of root cause analysis of identified inventory variances and follow through
Evaluate and correct bin capacity issues
Partner with the Warehouse Management Team to identify areas of opportunities
Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures
Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion
Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of Hershey Salty Snacks
Requirements
Bachelors degree in related field (preferred) or equivalent
Previous inventory management experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
Previous experience operating a Forklift
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, verbal and written
Previous experience using Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word
Previous experience using SAP or other inventory or warehouse management system experience highly preferred
Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kan Ban, FIFO, Min Max (preferred)
Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management
Organized with attention to detail
Understanding of OSHA requirements and safety programs
Certified for fork trucks and stock picker
Team building, decision making and people management skills.
Ability to bend, twist and stand on your feet for an entire shift
Exposed to food production environment and warehouse environment which may involve noise and fluctuating temperatures
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
