Lead the development and maintenance of a significant portion of the SDS pipeline with the objective of achieving annual BA financial objectives
Lead the development of strategic campaigns for SSI/SDS, driving initiatives that target new business growth in Ground-based SDA and missions for core T10 customers
Act as a liaison to SSI Division growth initiatives, advocating for the interests of the SDS BA
Cultivate relationships with partners, consultants, and subcontractors to gain insights and forge alliances that position L3Harris for capturing emerging opportunities
Scout for new markets, untapped needs, and potential pursuits or campaigns relevant to the SDS BA
Pinpoint opportunities that align with pre-defined SDS campaign goals and facilitate the handover from early-stage Business Development activities to Capture Management
Strategically prioritize customer interactions, involving Senior Management when appropriate
Manage discretionary budgets to conduct all BD and Capture activities associated with SDS pursuits under their purview
Lead pursuits through L3Harris Stage/Gate process explaining the rationale for pursuing new opportunities leading up to and including responses to RFPs
Assist capture teams by providing competitive assessments and crafting win strategies
Ability to Travel – Up to 25%
Requirements
Must Have an Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
Established contacts with DoD customers particularly in the aforementioned Title-10 & T50 mission/market areas
Experience engaging with leaders at relevant government agencies, major prime contractors, small and new-space companies
Experience managing or directing a team to build a portfolio pipeline and achieve annual financial targets
Disciplined, self-starting professional who can bring projects to closure with minimum direction, guidance, and oversight
Ability to lead and develop relationships with geographically dispersed people
Ability to coach, mentor, and teach junior through mid-level BD and Capture personnel as part of their development
Ability in competitive analysis, customer analysis, win strategy development, proposal and color team leadership and price-to win analysis
