About this role
Role Overview
Finance business partner for a defined Medical perimeter (assigned based on business priorities).
Own planning/forecasting cadence, assumptions, and submission quality; maintain visibility to key cost drivers (e.g., headcount, run-rate, vendor spend).
Provide decision support through scenario planning and trade-off analysis; surface risks/opportunities with clear recommendations.
Build decision-quality analyses for investments, initiatives, and scope changes (value framing, sensitivities, assumptions).
Lead budget, forecast, and outlook for the assigned perimeter; deliver monthly performance reporting and variance insights tied to drivers and actions.
Maintain standardized performance packs/scorecards to improve speed-to-insight and reduce ad hoc reporting.
Partner with other supporting teams to support timely close, accurate reporting, and strong accrual/forecast discipline.
Simplify and standardize planning/reporting processes; improve data quality and ways of working.
Leverage analytics and planning tools to strengthen forecasting and performance transparency; promote automation and dashboarding where it adds value.
Coordinate globally across Finance, People and Culture, Procurement, and Digital to enable integrated planning and execution; maintain a consistent operating rhythm with stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and documentation standards; support audit readiness as needed.
Requirements
Experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, or strategic finance in a complex, matrixed environment (life sciences/healthcare and/or Medical/R&D preferred).
Strong planning/forecasting skills including driver-based modeling and scenario analysis; able to turn ambiguity into structured plans.
Strong executive communication skills, including preparing and presenting senior-leadership materials.
Strong analytical/modeling capability; comfort with reporting/analytics and planning systems (specific tools a plus).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA preferred.
Recommend 10+ years in business finance experience, with strong focus on financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
