Draft, proofread, and file legal documents, including attorney dictation, ensuring accuracy and content continuity, and send approved documents to recipients.
Perform administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling depositions, evaluations, and settlement conferences, sending notices, and maintaining court calendars.
Prepare and file court documents using e-filing systems, and mail documents as necessary.
Communicate with Applicant’s attorneys, adjusters, and medical professionals when needed.
Subpoena records through vendors and arranges for interpreters and transportation when required.
Update and maintain case management systems such as Merus, including contact records, document management, and case information.
Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and court personnel through virtual meetings, phone calls, and email.
Requirements
Experience in a fast-paced legal environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
High accuracy in word processing and document preparation.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree or certification as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal (preferred).
Familiarity with online court filing systems (preferred).
Ability to work efficiently with multiple attorneys simultaneously (preferred).
Experience using dictation and transcription software (preferred).
