Drive sourcing and procurement activities on assigned commodities to deliver a competitive advantage within the North American market and apply advanced sourcing best practices towards operational excellence
Drive RFQ’s, negotiate pricing and contractual terms and implement framework agreements with key suppliers, using contract templates in collaboration with Corporate Counsel
Issue purchase orders for major components and actively support the full procure-to-pay cycle
Responsible for managing 40% ($21M) of the total annual external supplier spend for NA region on selected commodities
Improve key performance metrics for NA region such as on-time delivery, savings against budget
Work proactively with ITO team in order to recommend the right suppliers with the most optimal commercial conditions
Coordinate supplier selection, development, and supplier categorization
Develop reports, analyze spend and apply sourcing methodologies to identify opportunities for cost-reduction and cash flows improvements
Resolve contractual and supplier disputes where they occur, protecting the interests of the business and engaging legal Business Partners where required.
Effectively collaborate with regional stakeholders and global sourcing members
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in business related areas
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial sourcing, procurement, supplier management and contract negotiation
Hands-on experience in U.S. Government purchasing systems, including familiarity with FAR/DFARS requirements and federal compliance processe
