Role Overview
- Coordinate and supervise all activities on the outbound dock
- Ensure operations are coordinated efficiently
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Plan the daily work schedule by reviewing existing work orders
- Assess priorities based on time sensitivity and available resources
- Assign duties to warehouse staff
- Monitor quality and quantity of jobs performed
- Keep manager advised of progress or problems requiring attention
- Conduct annual performance reviews for all staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum four years related experience
- Minimum one year of supervisory or management experience
- Proven knowledge and experience in dock operations
- Valid state issued driver’s license
- Forklift Driver Certification
- Ability to drive and or operate a forklift, hand truck and pallet jack
- DOT Dangerous Goods/Hazardous Materials Certification
- Basic understanding of business financial principles including P&Ls, budgets, payroll, financial reporting and expense control
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
