Senior Construction Manager

Role Overview

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities
• Act as lead worker over a team of inspectors, materials testers, and consultants
• Ensure construction work meets quality standards and specifications
• Serve as primary liaison between project team and stakeholders
• Conduct routine inspections of construction work
• Ensure site compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain daily logs and inspection records
• Provide detailed progress reports to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction engineering
• At least 5 years’ experience working with Caltrans governing documents
• Strong experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, and drainage systems
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification required
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control processes
