Provide proactive technical support and consulting to OEM and Tier-1 customers, primarily for transmission applications.
Contribute to the full assessment of customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring review and approval through the 4-eyes principle.
Negotiate and align customer requirements and expectations.
Carry out technical project management activities to align application development with customer needs.
Develop applications according to defined and agreed specifications.
Support product release processes externally, ensuring customers receive optimal solutions.
Gain comprehensive knowledge of customer systems and procedures (e.g., APQP, ECN).
Assist with handling returned parts, warranty analyses, and support root cause investigations and corrective actions using 8D methodology where applicable.
Communicate customer opportunities, issues, and feedback effectively with Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in vehicle drivetrain design and development, with demonstrated leadership and expertise in customer service or application engineering
Proficient in transmission applications, including manual, automatic, dual-clutch (DCT), hybrid, and electric vehicle (EV) systems
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Proven ability to effectively manage open issues, balancing Schaeffler’s interests with maintaining strong customer relationships
Collaborative team player with a commitment to cross-functional cooperation
