Interfaces with various internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities and communicate information and functionality of assets, project and programs objectives and status to solicit feedback and keep electric operations aligned and information on GIS technology solution initiatives.
Leads and support the development of Project and Program Plans including but not limited to customer requirements, feasibility analysis, business case, project scope, stakeholder analysis, strategy execution, and provides recommendations on alternative solutions.
Develops overall department performance reporting.
Presents reports, department updates to all levels including senior leadership (Directors and Officers).
Develops and provides recommendations for solutions and improvements.
Mentors and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues.
Presents findings and makes recommendations to management.
Leads complex or midsize projects.
Communicates Program and Project status to all stakeholders.
Develops and manages department expense budget. Regularly monitors expenses against forecast, providing explanation or justification for budget items and/or variances.
Uses knowledge of standards, business processes and related impacts to ensure GIS technology solution initiatives support organizations goals and objectives.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Job-related experience, 8 years
Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience (Desired)
PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
GIS programming experience in automation
GIS technical skills 10 years of related experience or equivalent
Ability to use understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision making, and to recommend operational improvements
Ability to lead the largest most complex projects across the line of business supported (i.e. Customer Care, Human Resources, etc.)
Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers
Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact.
