Role Overview
Develop materials strategies and select metals, polymers, elastomers and composites for liquid‑cooling components
Define and execute analytical chemistry and materials‑characterization testing, including corrosion and fluid‑stability qualification programs
Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and reliability teams to translate laboratory findings into design requirements and supplier specifications
Lead materials‑related failure analysis and root‑cause investigations
Drive sustainability initiatives focused on environmentally responsible materials, improved recyclability, and enhanced lifecycle durability
Requirements
5+ years of experience in chemical analysis and materials characterization
Hands-on experience with Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), electrochemical analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), or similar techniques
Understanding of corrosion mechanisms, coolant chemistry, fluid/material compatibility, coatings and surface‑treatment methods
Proven success collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Excellent communication skills, problem‑solving ability and technical documentation
Undergraduate degree in related engineering degree (materials, mechanical etc.)
Background in direct‑to‑chip liquid cooling, metallurgical principles, and metal‑joining methods (e.g., welding, brazing)
