Role Overview
- Assist in building connections with the Southwest Florida community and visitors to inspire appreciation, stewardship and commitment to protect and conserve Rookery Bay Research Reserve.
- Promote the work of the Reserve and the many programs and events.
- Update media, partner and hospitality contact lists; sort and maintain press clippings; update digital slides; compile monthly events to send to partners and local media.
- Interact with all Rookery Bay departments to gather information to create social media posts and stories for a weekly report.
- Take photos and videos of events, activities and staff at work in the field and assist in outreach events.
Requirements
- BS/BA (or currently working towards a degree) in marketing, communications or related field is necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
- Comfortable creating social media video reels and posts.
