Support the intake, tracking, and processing of FOIA requests for federal clients
Review agency records for responsiveness to FOIA requests
Apply FOIA exemptions and assist in preparing redacted versions of documents for public release
Draft FOIA response letters, acknowledgment letters, and related correspondence
Coordinate with subject matter experts, attorneys, and client stakeholders to clarify document content and release determinations
Maintain detailed tracking logs and documentation of FOIA actions, deadlines, and case status
Prepare summaries, justifications, and supporting documentation for exemption determinations
Support quality control reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
Assist in maintaining standard operating procedures and documentation related to FOIA processes
Support reporting requirements related to FOIA metrics and case management
Participate in client meetings to discuss case status, challenges, and timelines
Ensure compliance with federal records management, privacy, and information security requirements
Provide general project and administrative support as needed

Requirements
2–3 years of experience in communications, document review, regulatory compliance, legal support, or FOIA processing (entry-level candidates with strong relevant experience will be considered)
Foundational knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and common FOIA exemptions preferred
Experience supporting federal agencies or government contractors strongly preferred
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, defensible correspondence
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to review documents with a high level of accuracy
Experience handling sensitive or confidential information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
Strong organizational and document management skills
Ability to obtain a public trust clearance
