Lead the end-to-end marketing communications strategy for the Corn, Soy, Hort and P&SS portfolios.
Partner with crop and brand managers to build integrated plans grounded in customer insights, segmentation, and lifecycle needs.
Align agency expectations, timelines, and deliverables to support efficient marcom planning.
Develop, coordinate, and execute marketing communications plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives, segmentation priorities, and budget.
Serve as the primary liaison between BASF and the agency for Corn, Soy, Hort, P&SS portfolios, and cross‑crop campaigns.
Provide clear direction, feedback, and approvals to stakeholders to ensure timely and relevant content.
Collaborate with MarCom teammates to create a cohesive cross‑crop and brand customer journey.
Manage an integrated campaign calendar to support prioritization and ensure coordinated execution.
Advocate for the BASF brand, ensuring all content is aligned with brand standards and strategic positioning.
Author and lead content strategy by defining themes, narratives, and guidelines that maintain quality, consistency, and a unified voice across portfolios and touchpoints.
Use CRM data to support accurate targeting and personalization; champion GenAI tools and modern content practices.
Collaborate across teams to translate insights into compelling content that supports customer journeys and drives measurable impact.
Author the content best‑practice playbook while managing brand, crop, and cross‑crop budgets through accurate forecasting and monthly tracking.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Communications, Agriculture or related field or equivalent experience (required).
Minimum 8 years progressive experience in marketing, brand management, integrated campaign leadership or other commercial experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the agriculture industry, with an understanding of grower and retail customers in Canada (preferred).
Content strategy or GenAI certifications (preferred).
Experience with GenAI tools is considered an asset.
Strong background in content strategy and storytelling.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with ability to foster innovation, embrace and implement change, while working with an agency and multiple stakeholders.
Skills in content strategy and editorial planning, messaging and narrative frameworks, website editing.
Strong judgment, responsiveness, and brand stewardship.
Knowledge of the crop protection and seed industry, farmer, retail customers and/or a strong aptitude to learn.
Financial literacy to manage multiple budgets across various teams and functions, with monthly forecasting and tracking.
Experience with CMS platforms (Magnolia preferred), GenAI marketing tools (preferred).
Familiarity with Analytics platforms e.g. Piano, GA4, Adobe Analytics (preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required).
