Provide leadership, support, professional development, and training in all aspects of the contracts discipline
Build and lead a team of highly motivated and effective contract professionals including training, mentoring/guidance, directing daily activities, delegating work assignments, and ensuring compliance
Collaborate across functions to advise and support competitive and sole source Request for Proposals (RFPs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Teaming Agreements
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Advise on contractual rights and obligations, including risk mitigation
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or related discipline or a Master's or Law degree with 6 years relevant experience
1+ years of management experience and demonstrated ability to lead teams and develop talent
At least 5 years of experience negotiating and administering various contract types of varying sizes and types of agreements
Expert knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and DFAR (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations)
Thorough understanding of the requirements of applicable government regulations
Strong proposal development skills, solid negotiation skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel several times annually, domestically and internationally
Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance
