Assisting in driving the product roadmap for Kentik NMS, balancing customer needs, technical feasibility, and business priorities
Independently prioritize features, enhancements, and technical investments, while partnering closely with senior product leadership for alignment
Translate customer and operational requirements into clear product specifications and user stories
Partner closely with engineering to design and deliver capabilities such as device monitoring, fault management, alerting, configuration visibility, and performance analytics
Engage regularly with customers, network operators, and customer-facing teams to gather feedback and validate product direction
Develop a deep understanding of network operations workflows, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response
Use product data and customer insights to measure impact and guide continuous improvement
Support features through the full product lifecycle from discovery to delivery
Requirements
5+ years of experience in a technical role at a technology company (e.g., network engineering, NOC operations, systems engineering, SRE, IT infrastructure)
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, routing and switching concepts, and the OSI stack
Experience working with network monitoring or management systems (e.g., SolarWinds NPM, PRTG, LogicMonitor, Nagios, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Meraki, or similar tools)
Familiarity with SNMP, telemetry, device polling, alerts, and performance monitoring concepts
Understanding of enterprise and/or service provider network architectures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable product work
Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams and operate cross-functionally
Prior product management experience is strongly preferred but not required
