Direct all phases of advanced booster programs from inception through completion
Drive program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives including orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow
Maintain responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance of advanced booster programs or subsystems
Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
Identify program problems and obtain solutions
Act as primary customer contact for program activities
Lead program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
Participate in negotiation of contracts and contract changes
Expand the advanced booster product line with customers
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gain cooperation on operational processes
Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, and performance Statements of Work (SOW)
Develop specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contracts
Provide technical direction ensuring alignment with program objectives and customer requirements
Direct the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees
Manage complex projects involving delegation of work and review of work products
Lead cross-functional teams across technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant program management experience, Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related program management experience, or 13 years of prior related program management experience in lieu of a degree.
2+ years experience with the Earned Value Management (EVM).
1+ years experience with proposals.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
Demonstrated managerial level of leadership.
Experience with DoD contract execution.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Demonstrated experience managing complex defense programs or subsystems.
Proven track record of successful program execution meeting cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
Experience serving as primary customer interface for program activities.
Background in contract negotiation and management.
Experience with proposal development and business planning.
Strong knowledge of program management principles and practices.
Understanding of defense acquisition processes and regulations.
Proficiency in financial management including budgeting, revenue recognition, and cash flow management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
