ensure first line of defense complies with data protection regulations and maintains high standards of data privacy
monitor and assess controls that protect sensitive information
monitor and test to ensure compliance with privacy regulations and internal policies
monitor processes and controls to endure the protection of sensitive data, including personal and financial information
identify and assess privacy and data security risks across the organization
provide guidance and training staff on privacy and data protection
participate in privacy incident management and collaborate with Privacy & Legal Counsel on legislative updates
collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address privacy and data security issues
maintain accurate records and documentation of all privacy and data incidents
prepare and present privacy reports to senior management

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, or a related field
A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CISSP) is preferred
At least 2 years of experience in data privacy, data protection, or information security roles
Knowledge of Canada data privacy laws and regulations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Demonstrated ability to lead manage projects and drive organizational change
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
