Perform on site observations of the progress and quality of the work to determine if it is being performed in a manner conforming to the contract documents.
Observe and report deviations from the contract documents, codes, and standards. Follow through with all responsible parties until issues are resolved.
Assist in review of submittals.
Assist design team with responses to requests for information and communicate with design team for clarifications. Revise drawings as required.
Assist in BIM coordination with contractor and trades.
Develop written field reports and complete project punch lists.
Process project closeouts.
Attend and participate in site meetings with construction management team, trades, and owner representatives.
Regular regional travel and in-office presence required.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of buildings, and the design and construction process.
Interest in becoming knowledgeable in all fields of architecture and engineering.
Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
Ability to communicate, participate, and collaborate in a project team and owner settings.
Ability to engage in creative and critical thought.
Willingness to contribute to business development efforts.
Requires an intermediate ability to use and produce in Revit.
Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with typical construction management software (Newforma and Procore) is a plus.
Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Science, or Construction Management
Some professional experience in related work preferred
