Understand the strategies and priorities of the supported entities, translate them into procurement needs, and incorporate this information into category sourcing strategies.
Ensure these inputs are shared with all leaders responsible for global critical purchasing categories.
Engage at the earliest stages of project development within the globally managed business/strategic unit.
Understand innovation and renovation plans for the globally managed business/strategic unit and interact with R&D, the Product Technology Center, and other business‑unit or functional teams to develop the strategy and requirements to be communicated to suppliers.
Ensure these requirements are clearly and effectively represented and integrated into category sourcing strategies and supplier relationship management activities.
Understand category strategies and sourcing plans and advocate for them with leadership of the globally managed business/strategic unit and functional stakeholders at the appropriate stages throughout the category process.
Ensure that category strategies and sourcing plans are understood by business/functional leadership, that their impacts are discussed and considered with Hub/local teams as required.
Monitor and communicate market developments in procurement for the globally managed business/strategic unit/functional leadership and provide industry insights, forward pricing and hedging perspectives where applicable.
Measure, monitor and drive value delivery to the global business/strategic unit functional leadership and coach, motivate and guide category procurement teams—providing focus, objectives, support and mentoring to ensure they understand and meet the needs of the globally managed business/strategic unit.
Oversee and ensure compliance of procurement activities in the markets (Source-to-Pay, supplier approval processes).
Represent the markets to the Procurement function (Nespresso Headquarters, Nestlé in-market teams).
Contribute to achieving Procurement objectives in the markets (Savings, Payment Terms, Compliance, Service).
Requirements
Bilingual in English and French is required due to collaboration with stakeholders in the Canadian and global markets.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
5–8 years’ experience in category and/or stakeholder management, procurement, or commercial/market roles.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of SAP, Power BI and any ERP system is an asset.
