Provide technical vision and leadership in the design, implementation, and scaling of AI-powered search systems across multiple business domains
Architect and deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions for complex search and retrieval challenges, ensuring high performance and reliability
Guide system design (including low-level design), API architecture, and data modeling for next-generation AI search platforms
Champion integration and operation of AI/ML-enabled solutions that enhance search relevance, customer experiences, and business outcomes
Establish a solid AI Search health and quality measurement framework that will be operationalized to assess the quality of our search systems from multiple stakeholders' perspectives and objectives, diagnose/detect quality issues, and identify areas of opportunity
Mentor and influence engineering teams, foster knowledge sharing and the adoption of best practices in AI search technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience
14+ years of relevant professional experience
Proven track record owning architecture, delivery, and operational excellence for large-scale, distributed software systems
Deep expertise in system design, API development, and data modeling within search or AI-driven environments
Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products
Recognized experience architecting and operating large-scale AI or search infrastructure in high-traffic, production environments
Demonstrated leadership in establishing technical standards, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring senior engineering talent
Expertise in designing and deploying safe and effective AI/ML-enabled solutions that optimize search outcomes
Strong record of data-driven decision making, including evaluating and improving AI models and search algorithms
Advanced knowledge of responsible AI practices specific to search, including bias mitigation and explainability.
