About this role
Role Overview
Data collection in an Intensive Care/Medicine Unit and following-up with the wards and medical records department at various sites in the Region.
Regular remittance of collection forms to a central data entry bank.
Handling quality assurance processes that are data collection based.
Participation in system reliability/validity testing processes.
Participation in regular team meetings.
Assisting with the training of new staff and in servicing of Intensive Care/Medicine Unit staff.
Participation in other research projects that are database program related.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years recent Adult Intensive Care Nursing experience, required.
Background in research methodology preferred.
Previous experience data collecting for large databases, preferred.
Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program required.
Recognized Adult Intensive Care Nursing Course preferred.
Basic statistics course, preferred.
Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
