Lead drafting, negotiation, and management of a wide range of commercial agreements (enterprise SaaS contracts, data processing agreements, strategic partnerships, vendor contracts, and more).
Negotiate directly with large enterprise customers and strategic partners, balancing speed-to-close with thoughtful risk mitigation.
Collaborate closely with our Head of Legal Operations to create scalable commercial processes, templates, and systems.
Provide practical and actionable guidance on privacy, product, employment, and compliance matters as they arise.
Partner with product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap with privacy and regulatory considerations in mind.
Enable sales, customer success, and other go-to-market functions through playbooks, trainings, and templates.
Collaborate directly with the General Counsel on strategic initiatives, Board matters, and scaling the legal function.
Requirements
5–7 years of legal experience, with meaningful in-house experience at a high-growth B2B SaaS, AI or data infra company.
Extensive experience successfully negotiating complex enterprise SaaS agreements with Fortune 500 or other large global companies.
Demonstrated ability to get deals done while mitigating legal and business risk in a meaningful, scalable way.
Track record of partnering with legal operations and cross-functional teams to scale a commercial contracting function.
Admission to practice law in at least one US state.
Familiarity with global data privacy and AI regulations, including comprehensive (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and sectoral (HIPAA, GLBA, WA My Health My Data, etc.) frameworks.
CIPP/US and/or CIPP/E.
Ability to make quick, pragmatic decisions and clearly distinguish between business-critical and lower-priority issues.
A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys working remotely, and is excited to roll up their sleeves and build from scratch.
