Leads stakeholder engagement activities, including interviews and workshops, to gather and validate functional, non-functional, integration, and security requirements
Assesses current-state systems, infrastructure, data environments, and business processes to document existing architecture and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities
Designs future-state architectures and develops multiple solution options, evaluating trade-offs related to cost, scalability, security, operational impact, and implementation complexity
Ensures recommended solutions align with secure cloud design principles and applicable compliance expectations
Develops architecture diagrams, data flow models, and high-level implementation roadmaps outlining phases, dependencies, risks, and resource considerations
Performs technical risk assessments, supports governance processes, and prepares executive-ready documentation and briefings that clearly communicate findings, modernization opportunities, and recommended paths forward
Requirements
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in Enterprise solution architecture
Systems modernization initiatives
Cloud architecture and digital transformation
Requirements analysis and stakeholder engagement
Demonstrated experience leading As-Is and To-Be architecture development
Experience supporting complex, regulated, or enterprise-scale environments
Proven ability to develop architecture documentation, diagrams, and modernization roadmaps
Experience performing technical risk assessments and solution trade-off analysis
Strong knowledge of cloud architectures (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Experience designing secure and scalable enterprise systems
Familiarity with federal or regulated security environments
Experience with integration architecture (APIs, middleware, data exchange)
Knowledge of workflow automation and business process optimization platforms
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and structured methodologies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
